Information We Collect

We collect information you choose to provide for bookings, client records, consent forms, payments, uploads, and shop communications. This can include your name, contact information, appointment details, tattoo notes, health disclosures, identification documents, and marketing preference.

How We Use It

We use this information to operate Varnished Anatomy, schedule and provide tattoo services, maintain required records, contact you about your appointment, and send promotions only when you separately opt in.

Text-Message Information

For our SMS program, we collect your name, mobile phone number, artist preference, appointment information, messages, and records of when and how you gave permission. We use these records to send the messages you requested, answer your questions, maintain your preferences, and honor opt-outs.

Your mobile number, mobile information, SMS opt-in records, and messaging consent will never be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This protection applies to all categories of information described in this policy. Service providers such as our messaging provider may process information only to operate and deliver our messages, not for their own marketing.

Appointment texts include confirmations, scheduling changes, 48-hour reminders, aftercare, and a review request after your visit. Promotional texts about openings, flash days, and shop events require a separate opt-in. Appointment permission does not enroll you in promotions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase or service.

Optional Google Calendar Connection

Artists can choose to connect a personal Google account. We use its email address to identify the connection and create a separate Varnished Anatomy calendar. We copy only that artist’s shop appointment names, titles, dates, times, and shop location to Google. With the artist’s permission, we also read the list of available Google calendars and import busy start and end times from the calendar they select. Other staff see those times as “Busy · Google Calendar.” Personal Google event titles, descriptions, locations, and guests are not read or stored. Imported busy times do not create client records or send texts. Client contact information, consent documents, health notes, and messages are not copied to Google.

Google connection credentials are encrypted and used only to maintain the calendar sync. Artists can disconnect in the staff Calendar page to delete the stored connection credentials and imported busy times and stop future updates. Existing Google calendar copies remain until the artist removes them in Google. Google access can also be removed in the Google account’s third-party connections settings.

Security And Retention

Access to private client information is limited to authorized shop staff. Records are retained only as needed for shop operations and applicable legal requirements.
